Relocation

What relocation benefits would I be entitled for?
Lets spend a few moments understanding Apollo's relocation benefits
  • The Company will cover the cost of one way direct-route economy class airfare from the United States to India (New Delhi) for the offered candidate and his / her spouse + up to 2 children.

  • You will be on Apollo Tyres India Payroll. You will be paid in accordance with local India payment practices and will receive other remuneration elements equivalent or comparable to what a peer in India would receive with similar responsibilities, grade level, experience and level of performance.

  • You will pay tax on each element of compensation and benefits as though a resident of India with effect from your join date in India.

  • You will observe India holidays and work hours. Your vacation will be according to Apollo Tyre’s India policy and Apollo Tyre's personnel policies and practices will likewise apply.

  • Incidental Relocation Allowance - You will be entitled to a one time Incidental Relocation Allowance of USD 2500 to defray initial settling in expenses and transportation of household goods.

There are 4 Components to the Cost to Company approach.
 
Interview
1. Basic
35% of Fixed Pay is classified as Basic Pay.

2. Flexible Benefit Plan (FBP)

FBP Scope: The employee is given the freedom to pick and choose from the kitty available as listed below:
- HRA (House Rent Allowance)

- Conveyance Allowance
- Transport - consisting of Fuel, maintenance, Road Tax and Insurance, Driver Salary, or reimbursement of conveyance for official work
- Telephone/ Mobile Phone/ Internet Allowance
- Entertainment Allowance
- Books and Periodicals
- Taxable Allowance

3. Retirals

Employer Contribution:
PF- 12% of Basic and the same amount will be deducted for employee's contribution.
Gratuity- 4.81% of Basic Salary with a lock in period of 05 yr.’s

Superannuation (Optional)- 15% of Basic Salary with a lock in period of 05 yrs. transferrable on exit if completed 05 yrs. Superannuation is optional, an employee can opt to get this paid out monthly vs  taking it out after retirement – this is upto you whether you want to take it after retirement. Maximum employees opt out because this increases cash in hand.

 

4. Performance Bonus

Percentage of Variable Pay (PB) to Fixed is 20%

Advance PB Pay-out schedule- 25% paid at end of Qtr 1 (August Salary) & Qtr 2 (November Salary) each.

Final Annual PB Pay-out after considering Company and Employee performance at end of the financial year and paid in the May month salary (less advance PB already paid).

​5. Vacation / Personal time off policies

We follow leaves: Casual Leave : Unlimited(can be taken for a maximum of two days at a time), Sick leave: Unlimited (Leaves taken for three or more days consecutively requires to be supported by a medical certificate), Privileged Leave: 25 Days in a year, eligibility after 1 year of service. Additional 8 leaves for festivity.

6. Health care insurance

5 Lacs; for self, spouse, two dependent children only. If join during the year, claim disbursal also on pro-rata basis. Premium amount to be borne by employee Rs. 8277/- p.a., if join during the year will be deduction on pro-rata basis.

 

7. Life Insurance:

A life insurance cover of INR 5,00,000 in case of death of employee Accident Insurance: In case of death due to accident, a claim of amount equivalent to 60 Months (100 Month for Field) of Basic component will be processed by insurance company.
