As defined in Section 1-1, the Act applies to all public limited liability companies which are registered as such in the Register of Business Enterprises.

Article 6-11a specifies the number of spots that must be held by each gender depending on the size of the board. For example, if the board has only two or three members, both sexes must be represented. But if a board contains more than nine members, then at least 40% must be women.
