Smitashree is the CEO and Founder, theboardiQ LLC, a company with a mission to create inclusive boards for businesses. Her strengths lie at the intersectionality of her passion for Inclusion, Transformation, Technology and Sustainability with more than two decades of People leadership experience (at Motorola Inc | Motorola Google | Motorola Lenovo - including serving on their India Legal Entities Boards | MetLife | Sun Microsystems | IBM).
Her own experiential and immersive experiences in Corporate roles as well as doing Executive Search in the valley, led her to start theboardiQ, to make a difference in getting gender, under-represented minorities, LGBTQ+, differently abled and veterans into positions of influence and power for Board and Executive Roles. Her humble efforts in launching theboardiQ Hall of Fame in late 2020, with the clear intent to move the needle in recognizing and shining the spotlight on the best under-represented executive talent, has met with success and harnessed 600+ Media Press Releases, 40+ Official Corporate Communication Releases | 20000+ LinkedIn Likes | 1,000,000+ views | 500+ Tweets and Retweets.
Smita volunteers and serves on the Board of the Bay Area HR Executive Council, a SHRM Affiliate Organization. She additionally volunteers as a Global Advisor with How Women Lead, a San Francisco headquartered Women's Empowerment Organization.
Smita has an MBA from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. She also has an accreditation from Smith College, Northampton, Massachusetts, USA and completed the Stanford University Accelerate Your Start Up Idea Course in 2019.
Smita has been a recipient of many awards including 2017 Most Influential HR Leaders Award Conferred by CHRO Asia, World HRD Congress and Times Ascent, 2016 Women Super Achiever Leaders Award Conferred by World HRD Congress as well as the 2015 50 Most Influential Tech HR Leaders Conferred by Asia Pacific HR Congress.
