About the Role
As an Architect the Data Science team within Apollo Tyres, you will play a key role in the development and execution of enterprise-wide business, data, application, and technical architecture vision and strategies. You will establish strong relationships with the business and technology teams within our organization, teaching and driving improved communication of the architecture vision. This role is essential to driving the overall flexibility and scalability of the highly complicated environment of overlapping systems across the company’s business functions.
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
• Serve as a thought leader to the organization in the area of data, analytics.
Exposure to AI and ML will ensure that you are helping drive these areas forward via your technical leadership
• Perform in depth analysis of current state and create target state architecture, capability maturity roadmap and transition state architectures.
• Development of collateral: reference architectures, associate guides, patterns and example code.
• Define and govern architecture principles & standards to build maintainable, scalable, high performing and secured systems.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to Engineers

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:
• Deep knowledge and experience across various architectural disciplines (Application, Technical, Business, and Data/Information).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 12-14 years’ work experience, is required. Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Hands on experience with languages such as Python, Java, R, Scala, etc.
• Hands on experience with one or more Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure
• Experience with data pipeline and stream processing platforms
• Experience with a variety of database technologies, including RDBMS, NoSQL, Graph Databases, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and drive adoption of architecture practices.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with ability to function at both the conceptual as well as detail levels.
• Defined reusable and proven patterns, frameworks, reference models to drive Engineering and Architecture quality and speed.
• Extensive experience architecting and designing scalable, secured, high performing solutions.
• Trained and mentored junior architects and engineers.
• People management experience desired.
• Automotive experience desired.

• Deep knowledge of architecting data platforms to include the following capabilities: data ingestion, data transformation, data quality, data cataloguing/discovery, data access. Hands on experience with Cloud data services, ideally AWS Redshift or equivalent

Strong Python experience. Any other Object Orientated languages are beneficial such as C# or Java
Experience with statistical languages such as R, Scala etc.
Experience in data ingestion frameworks such as Kafka or AWS MKS for example.

Ability to review and provide feedback in code reviews. Design reusable components (using design patterns). Experience with unit & test driven approach to development; Expert knowledge of build tools and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
