Key requirements
The Code states that companies should establish principles concerning the diversity of the board of directors.
These principles should specify objectives for ensuring that both genders are represented in the company’s board of directors, the means to achieve the objectives, and an account of the progress in achieving the objectives.
The Code further requires companies to have both genders represented on their board of directors. Though self governed, Finland requires 40% of state owned enterprises to have female directors for 40% of their board seats.
